The models/shapes of covers are determined by the position of installation on the machine. Cover for X axis scale is different from those on Y and Z axis. Y and Z axis installation surface is usually uneven. The backing plates will make installation easier. Also, it may stabilize the scales on the machine which implies extended longevity of scales. Brackets and screws for fitting reading heads. Brackets in the photo are provided for illustration only. Different machines and installation on different axes may need different types of brackets. Occasionally, brackets may have to be customized in your own workshop. Therefore, our brackets can only be taken as “generic”. X axis scales can be mounted onto the rear side of the table directly. The reading head and scale will be on the same level. Usually, no backing plate and brackets are needed to adjust the height of the reading head. One package of screws and washers will be supplied for each scale.
